Jim Carson here - "Guru of Garbage" - I am going north from the 17th until the 30th or so and wanted to let you know a few things.
- Jorge is off on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so a little help on closing the tops would be helpful to keep the garbage in the dumpsters on those days. Things have really improved since the meeting and the camp is looking much better. Thanks for the help.
- I am finding out that the burn pile is getting used daily - that is great news, since it is leaving the dumpsters for garbage. What we are getting in the pile is real green, so even with a dose of gasoline, it burns for a bit then goes out. Cardboard helps when we burn, so if you have it you are welcome to put it in the burn pile. But, as usual, no garbage or unburnables like bottles or cans, etc. If you are doing a project and have wood scraps left over, you can put all of that in the burn pile as well.
- We have been burning almost daily since the meeting and when there is dry stuff or cardboard mixed in it burns quite well.

Our two-year voter- approved contract expires on 31, December 2024. As I promised, OMD membership is VOLUNTARY in 2025. Sign up NOW (December 2024) to be a member in 2025. If you are NOT a paid member in 2025, emergency response services will be billed and PAYABLE at the time of service.
