Next time you shop, consider where that packaging ends up (in the desert, beach, and ocean!) Buy your beer in aluminum cans or returnable bottles, buy less plastic packaging, reuse produce bags. Connie and Jack Merillat will take carboard boxes-that are not colored-for their compost bins.
Update: Rafael made the final payment to OMD for 2024 per the terms of our contract. This completes Rafael’s obligation to handle payments to OMD. For 2025 the price for Pete's Camp homeowners is 7200 pesos per family (USD-MX Peso exchange rate has dropped from 20:1 to about 16:1 though)
OMD has improved quality of life in Pete's Camp; and helped many of us. We want to keep them here at Pete's! Please send me your comments
The Pete's Camp Library - located near the Cantina - can enlighten and educate readers! AND the money is used to sponsor four school children attending Escuela Secundaria

We no longer maintain a contractor list. Please let RAFAEL know if you are working with a contractor in Camp. Unknown contractors who are not registered with Pete’s Camp can present a security risk.
On April 18, 2022 on behalf of the HOA, Board President Robin gave to Rafael the "Vote Results and Instructions" letter to advise him on preliminary vote results. The letter is here (scroll to Paramedic service related documents)
Subsequently, the votes were audited, and here are final results of the Paramedic Service vote:
An 82% response rate is incredible! It shows we are a community and we are engaged.
Those of you present at the tabulation on April 17 saw there were 4 ballots set aside during the tabulation process. Those are authentic and are included in the final count.
The contract is completed and was approved by the Contract Committee (comprised of a non-Board member homeowner and two Board member homeowners, Robin-HOA President, and Rafael). Information will be announced at the Annual Meeting.
Leases will include a line item for the OMD Paramedic Service of $365.
OMD is regulated by an Official Mexican Standard on pre-hospital care. Read the details here: Official Mexican STANDARD NOM-034-SSA3-2013, Regulation of health services. Prehospital medical care.
